I like books.  No, I’m not talking smutty romance novels or even classic works (someday maybe).  I like technical books.  My bookshelf is full of them.  Some I read from cover to cover.  Others I use as a quick reference.  Yet others sit patiently on the bookshelf waiting for me to open them for the first time.  One such book is titled “User-Centered Web Design”.   I bought it several years ago, but never got around to reading it.

I became motivated to read it this week and began the first chapter.  It looked like an OK book that might be useful to learn new design techniques.  Before I went further, I decided to check out the author’s web site.  The author was an expert on web design, so I expected to see something that was inspiring.  Instead, I saw this.

Is it just me, or is this a really bad site?

I think I’ll read Hemingway this weekend.
